Container Lab was founded in 2014. Thanks to the passion for art and the solid professional experience of its founders, it has been created as a cultural association that aims to promote and enhance the creativity of contemporary artists, with a special attention for those young artists at the earliest stages of their success, who show special sensibility, attitude and spirit for seeking new expressive languages.
Container Lab carries out many activities, including organizing art exhibitions, developing museum projects and archiving of artists’ works. For this reason, the association actively collaborates with both public agencies and private galleries and the target of each event is always the enhancement of individual and team growth.
Container Lab is known for several projects aimed to promote Italian artists. During Expo 2015, the Association created a link between the Expo guests and the Lombardy Region by positioning 8 containers, set up as art galleries, in the cities of Rho, Paderno Dugnano, Cinisello Balsamo, Saronno, Cantù, Cesano Maderno, Lurago Marinone, Como, in the State Archives of Milan and at the Italian Pavilion inside Expo. The project had 900,000 visitors and involved, among others, Bonfanti himself, Togo and Enzo Rizzo and it even won the “Logistics of the year 2016 Award” for “having brought art closer to the general public with the contribution of economics, logistics and transportation“.
